This past week has been a whirlwind! Our missionary is now in the MTC and we are so excited for him. This week started with his farewell and he did such an amazing job on his talk. I can't believe how much he has changed just since he received his call. We were so blessed to have so many friends and family who attended his farewell and joined us at our house after to eat and visit. On Tuesday we were treated to dinner by my parents at Costa Vida before we went to the Stake Center for him to be set apart. After that amazing experience, we went home to look at scrapbooks of Tanner, play cards, and watch a home movie of him. It kept the mood light and we laughed alot! Wednesday was perfect! We played games that morning before making our way to the MTC. Heavenly Father was guiding this trip for sure. Tanner decided he didn't feel like lunch before we dropped him off because he was so nervous he couldn't eat so we skipped that and made it to the MTC a little earlier than scheduled. When we got there, he saw a really good friend of his that he worked with at KFC who had gone into the MCT before Christmas. He came running after our car and they were laughing and hugging eachother. His friend Eric was able to escort him into the MTC. This made our transition so much easier knowing he found someone right off the bat that he knew and was beaming from ear to ear. I wasn't even crying and was actually smiling alot, but as we pulled out of the MCT and back on the road to go home I could hear sobbing from the back seat. Abbie broke down crying and it broke my heart and caused me to start crying. We treated the girls to lunch and took them to play games at Chuck E. Cheese and Abbie felt a little better. I am so excited for the next two years to see Tanner grow and share our journey on this blog.
